Review: Wendy’s Bacon Deluxe Cheeseburger with Applewood Smoked Bacon

We finally had a chance to try the Bacon Deluxe from Wendy’s. It was really good! We were actually really impressed with the the bacon… thick, but not so crispy to be hard & brittle. It was very flavorful; our palette is not sensitive enough to discern Applewood-smoked bacon from any other kind of wood-smoked bacon — all we know was, it tasted good! Definitely not the cheap fast-food bacon you’ve had elsewhere.

“Tender, premium breaded white meat chicken filet topped with sizzling bacon, Pepper Jack cheese, deliciously spicy jalapenos, angry onions and our signature angry sauce.”

Just had this for lunch! The sauce wasn’t particularly angry (spicy), but it was still very good. They put a good amount of bacon on it, not just a slice or two, so that was excellent.

Introducing the Bacon Cheesy Potato Burrito from Taco Bell. We’ll have to see if it’s as tasty as the Bacon Cheddar Gordita Crunch which came out last December; we liked it, but Taco Bell didn’t keep it around very long, sadly.
